It was Maggie's birthday on Friday, so it was time to decide where to go for dinner. Curry Leaf was the top pick. Together with the kids, Terrence & Sabine and Matt we celebrated her birthday.
As “The best Indian food in Albany”, Curry Leaf, proudly brings new spices and flavours to Albany, offering a delicious Indian dining experience. As a very accomplished chef Chef Venkatesh Ranganathan is well versed in the fine art of Indian cuisine. Curry Leaf offers a casual dining atmosphere and traditional Indian Cuisine with signature dishes, including masala, curry, and madras dishes. As Indian cooking is highly influenced by religion and culture, the Curry Leaf has a variety of vegetarian meals also.
All meals are prepared from scratch using fresh ingredients, and are never pre heated. We have seen his Tandoori oven :-) Authentic flavours, beautiful presentation, and friendly service are what the Curry Leaf prides itself on. When dining with friends, share a variety of mains, rice and Naan Bread...you get to taste a little of everything. BYO or enjoy a bottle of local wine from the in-house bar. Dine in or take-away.
Whether you are a local or are just visiting the Albany area, stop by Curry Leaf restaurant. They are so friendly and we assure you that your taste buds will be glad you did.
At the end of the meal, Vengatesh, his gorgeous wife and our waitress brought over a cake with candles and sang Happy Birthday. As I had encouraged Vengkatesh to buy a Thermomix, he proudly told me it was a Thermi Cake...YUMMO!!
Thanks so much for making my birthday dinner so very special.
