One of the biggest things that concerned us when we decided to eat healthier and giving up on processed food, was never getting to eat sweet treats again. Cakes, cookies, and pastries are quite high in fat, sugar, and calories–all the things that we are trying to cut out in our journey to live a healthier lifestyle. Many experts suggested substituting fruit as a sweet treat, but when we want a piece of chocolate cake, an apple just doesn’t cut it.
For your HideAway hostesses our new health eating life-style is absolutely not a diet, it’s all about balance, moderation and variety.

Our guests will be able to enjoy a sweet treat with a cup of tea or glass of wine, at the end of a busy day of sightseeing in the Albany Region.
Luckily citrus is in season right now and we were able to pick our own right off the tree. It had been such a long time since we enjoyed a lemon bar and they are one of our favourite desserts. Sweet, tart, and creamy. They are normally loaded with sugar and white flour, ingredients we avoid at all costs. This recipe was made with 100% wholesome ingredients. Healthy, raw, vegan, paleo, and gluten free too.
