Opening Night @ Charlotte's Restaurant

Charlotte's Restaurant can be found at Best Western Motel and Apartments on the corner of Frederick & Spencer Streets in Albany.  We were invited to the launch this week.

Maggie with Claire & Nicci

Well known author, former first-class WA cricketer and WAFL footballer Ian Brayshaw declared Charlottes Restaurant open.

UK trained chef Darren Aggiss created an amazing menu of appetisers comprised of miniaturising the dinner menu so we were able to truly taste the delicious meals.  This was enjoyed with Oranje Tractor and Merrum Estate wines.  Jude Iddison (violin) and Steve Scanlon (guitar) entertained us during the evening.
The name Charlotte comes from George Vancouver; when he sailed into Princess Royal Harbour in 1791, he named it after King George III's daughter the Princess Royal, Charlotte Augusta Matilda.
Thanks to the general manager Ubik Freeman for inviting us to the launch.  We enjoyed the evening, food and wine.  We look forward to returning one day soon and have someone cook for us.
